MEC was born from a simple conviction: that American independent watchmaking could stand alongside the finest Swiss and German houses — not by imitating them, but by forging a distinct identity rooted in innovation, modern design, and uncompromising execution.
The MEC-1 is the result — a manufacture caliber designed from a blank page, featuring an instantaneous jumping-hour complication, smoked sapphire dial, and a 39mm case that sits with quiet authority. Every piece was self-funded, full sell-through was achieved on the initial run, and the GPHG pre-nomination validated what collectors already knew: this is something different.
Now, under the creative direction of Carlos Simón Ramírez, MEC is evolving — building toward a next chapter in American haute horlogerie.
